#player2 Carl Carl
>Jackson: ABDENNO H7 NOB +10 10
>Carl: AADDEIU I7 ADIEU +19 19
>Jackson: ADEHNOR J8 DOH +38 48
#note J: OH might be better on some boards, the D really improves AENR, but on this board there is no good place for -ED words, and I don't see Carl handing me lanes all the time. This is also quickly becoming a really S-dependent board, so playing the extra tile towards that is nice
C: When this came down, I became nigh certain I was going to lose this game.
>Carl: ADEGOPY -AGOPY +0 19
#note I wasn't about to play a word on a board like this, not without something to do next turn. Although Quackle doesn't initially consider this exchange, it sims pretty well. The plays that outsim it (PA G6, YOGA G4, GODDED 8G) all make Jackson's life easier. (-3.5?)
>Jackson: AEFNNRU -AFNNU +0 48
#note similar logic to Carl, I felt ER was better than AENR here to reach for Ss - AENR's main advantage is responding to bingoes or opening plays better, but since he exchanged 5 instead of exchanged 2 or so, that was less of a concern. NUN/NU is also a reasonable play, or even just NU to be aggressive.
>Carl: ADEIIRY -DIIY +0 19
#note Technically, I'm supposed to keep the D here. But that presumes that Jackson will give me something to work with. Failing that, I need to turn over tiles that connect with the board. (-5?)
>Jackson: BEERSXZ 12G REX +25 73
#note regretted not playing just EX after hitting my clock - REX could be seen as a bit bingo defensive, but I think at this point he very likely has an E in his leave, and the R helps BESZ so much - bingo 5 jumps from 6 to 19%.
>Carl: AAEERVV 13C VARVE +27 46
#note C: EAVE sims about even with this.
J: REX also allows stuff like this, plus the P hook
>Jackson: BEISTUZ 11D BIZE +33 106
>Carl: AAEEFIR F9 FE. +17 63
#note I felt rather sheepish when I played this, but it sims second best behind BAA D11 (-1.5)
>Jackson: AEPSTTU E3 UPSTATE +73 179
>Carl: AAEEIRW 8A REWE. +27 90
#note Terrible-- missing AWAIT. These things happen after 11 rounds. (-16).
>Jackson: CEEOTUY 4A COTY.E +32 211
#note lucky to have the perfect blocking play for the NW
>Carl: AAGILMS B1 GLI.MA +22 112
#note GLOAM wins the sim (-5)
>Jackson: EEIRSTU 1B .USTIER +27 238
#note strongly considered BEAU here to say fuck it and go for spread - I only bingo around 2/3 though, so even though there is recursion for the nice leave, I felt the safe play was fine here, blocking 3x3s with two blanks out as well.
>Carl: ADNOPQS 6A Q.NA. +14 126
>Jackson: EFIIRST A8 .IF +6 244
#note Considered FRITES/ODDS here to exhaust the top right a bit and reach for blanks - however, i am still at a real rick of losing to two bingoes, and he could bingo on row 4 with a blank, leaving the 3x3 and the A column, two large threats. I liked taking out the larger A column threat here, letting him take column K, and still being in a good position to either counter-bingo or maintain a bingo lead with a good rack.
>Carl: ?DGOPST 7D G.P +10 136
#note C: GAD is better; without an E, the D is a liability. (-6)
J: my decisions didnt matter so much cause Carl was never connecting
>Jackson: EIJLRST K2 JILTERS +84 328
#note luckbox
>Carl: ?DIOOST 5G rIDO.TOS +58 194
#note Quackle has me play DOIT L3, so that when Jackson opens a 3x3 for me, I'll be ready to strike. (-7?)
>Jackson: ?AAAADI B10 AA +11 339
>Carl: CIMNNUY M3 MU.NIC +22 216
>Jackson: ?AADEIO 8M .AD +18 357
#note tons of consos left
>Carl: HKLNORY O8 .ORKY +17 233
#note NARK sims a little better. (-5)
>Jackson: ?AEINOO 6J N.O. +12 369
>Carl: GHLLNNW N7 N.H +13 246
#note Bad -- figured I was going to play BLAWN D11 next turn, but Jackson will never let that happen. The best play is counterintuitive: just play BHANG D11, and let him put me out of my misery with GOALIE.
>Jackson: ?AEIO D11 .O. +10 379
>Carl: GLLNW G1 .W +5 251
#note I must have been in time trouble. EW 10G scores better.
>Jackson: ?AEI 5B .A +7 386
>Carl: GLLN H4 G. +5 256
#note FAG (-2). Man, I played terribly this game.
>Jackson: ?EI 12G ...InE +24 410
>Jackson: (LLN) +6 416
