>Eric_Goldstein: IQ 8G QI +22 22
#note Final round of the tournament, we both need to win to guarantee placing in the money.
>Patrick_Beatrez: ADEELUU G7 E.UALED +21 21
#note Tantalizingly close to a bingo, if one of the Es was an A then I would've had a bingo through the Q. (Q)UEUED keeping ADL is a decent amount better than E(Q)UALED leaving the U on my rack.
>Eric_Goldstein: CEEISVX 12G .XCISE +46 68
#note Close decision between 11C VEXI(L) and (E)XCISE, I think EXCISE is too many points to pass up.
>Patrick_Beatrez: ABIIKRU K7 KRUBI. +24 45
#note I had 10D UAK(A)RI ready to go, but he opened up a giant double double line with EXCISE and I wanted to use it. 11D KIB(L)A is probably slightly too many points to give up to do so, especially since AI isn't much better than IRU leave, but I'm okay with KRUBIS.
>Eric_Goldstein: EEGINRV F1 REGIVEN +67 135
#note Only bingo.
>Patrick_Beatrez: AABEGIR 1D BA.RAGE +39 84
>Eric_Goldstein: FNU 2J FUN +27 162
>Patrick_Beatrez: ?AILNRV E6 RAVeLIN +73 157
#note Favorable draw. 3A RAVIN(G)Ly is 1 more point but slots the R in the triple line, and 4E R(I)VALINg is 1 less point but still leaves this relatively easy line open as well as the FUN and EXCISE lines that are already available. RAVELIN looks correct.
>Eric_Goldstein: HIPTY D11 PITHY +42 204
>Patrick_Beatrez: DEEFHSS M9 FEEDS +43 200
>Eric_Goldstein: JRU 15A JUR. +42 246
>Patrick_Beatrez: EGHOOSW 3K HOW +25 225
#note Interesting turn, I am not going to play N8 HEW and leave GOOS and allow an easy high-scoring play from Eric. Champ likes just playing J6 WOO leaving EGHS and leaving the current bingo lines as-is. I wanted to get rid of 2/3 of GHW and try to maximize my bingo chances in the immediate future. I don't quite understand keeping GH together even though there is some synergy, I think I made a good decision.
>Eric_Goldstein: AENO H11 A.ONE +41 287
#note Finally somebody hit the X play, AXONE or IXIAS for example were going to come sometime.
>Patrick_Beatrez: EGILOOS N2 OLOGIES +80 305
#note Best.
>Eric_Goldstein: AMOT O7 MOAT +28 315
>Patrick_Beatrez: ?DLRTWY 4A TaWDR.LY +88 393
#note Only bingo. I immediately saw the 8 of TOWARDLY, but it took me a few minutes to spot this play. This puts me from 50% after OLOGIES to over 90% to win.
>Eric_Goldstein: AZ 3B ZA +42 357
>Patrick_Beatrez: CNOOOST 1M COO +24 417
#note I'm not totally sure how to go about analyzing this play. I am up 36 and have a couple decent scoring spots, while the pool has bingo prone tiles but a lot of duplicates and the two 8s lines are also duplicates of the pool. I think if I would have thought a little deeper, I would've played J6 COON for 22 keeping an O and leaving 1 in the bag, then if I get hit with a bingo to one of the triples then I will have one scoring tile and at least the OOLOGIES hook to outrun. However, this opens me up to him bingoing at either spot (however unlikely, and I had only seen TITANITE/TITANATE and EDENTATE as the bingos that make it to the triple) and then it being down to the final draw whether I win. Champ finds J4 TOCO which will draw a counter-bingo with some of Eric's bingo plays, such as TOCO-EDENTATE I have a draw for TAMPIONS. COO is still a good play I think, but I'm unsure whether just blocking one line on this turn is better or if I should be going the outscoring/counter-bingo strategy.
>Eric_Goldstein: ADEINTT C2 T.. +6 363
#note Tough turn, I'm not sure what he can do here to try to win.
>Patrick_Beatrez: IMNOPST 15G P.NT +6 423
#note I saw PIMENTOS through the E didn't fit, but didn't think of its anagram NEPOTISM which is obviously the best play. The only bingos available in the pool with the T or E are ATTAINED (which doesn't play) or DETAINEE (which doesn't score enough to win). Blocking the DETAINEE line will always win and there are also ways to outrun the out bingo, such as B1 NI(ZA)M or 5I MOPIN(G). PENT blocking DETAINEE wins easily.
>Eric_Goldstein: ADEEINT B2 A..N +28 391
#note A4 (T)AENITE is his best endgame. His spread could have actually mattered at the end here for whether he gets 4th or 5th place.
>Patrick_Beatrez: AIMOS 4L MO.S +29 452
#note 13B AI(T)S is best saving 4L MO(O).
>Eric_Goldstein: DEEIT L6 DIE +14 405
>Patrick_Beatrez: AI 3H AI +8 460
#note 5F (V)IA.
>Patrick_Beatrez: (ET) +4 464
