>Eric_Goldstein: BELNRRS 8G BRR +10 10
#note Thanks to Eric for providing most of his racks. BRR looks solid here.
>Jackson: AEGLMYZ 9C GLAZY +35 35
>Eric_Goldstein: EELNOSY E5 ENOL.SE +28 38
#note EELY/BYE looks good here - for 5 points raw, NOS is well worth keeping over the Y, and there are a few decent lanes after EELY, the 11 row, C-E column, etc. (A)YE and YO are also fine.
>Jackson: EIMORTT H1 REMITTO. +83 118
>Eric_Goldstein: EEOPTUY D11 POUTY +32 70
#note looks good. D1 POUTY and PEYOTE are also reasonable to give back less, but this is good to keep more options open.
>Jackson: AIKLORX C13 XI +38 156
#note I was very uninspired by this play but nothing else looks as good
>Eric_Goldstein: AEEFFOW F9 .OWEE +31 101

>Jackson: ?AFIOPT I11 OF +19 246
#note looks close here between many optiosn - OF, B14 FA, G2 FOP, F5 FOP, G13 FOP. The position is good enough where it almost doesn't matter whether I choose the defensive route or the offensive route. I had a feeling that this was somewhere where there was more potential risk of going the defensive route - something like G2 FOP, closing a few lanes, then Eric hits the L column or 1 row, and if I don'lt hit for a turn or two, I could get in trouble. With so many lanes open, I felt it was better to take the 75%+ bingo odds over the next few turns, and just hit one bingo to seal the deal. Still all these options are decent, and it seems that B14 FA is a slightly better version of OF - same bingo % and scores 3 more immediately.
>Eric_Goldstein: AEGNRSU 15C S.NURAE +40 175
#note seems good here, trying to get back in range, making a good lane on the bottom (not that there is a lack of lanes right now). L12 SNUG is also a decent idea to threaten a 3x3.
>Jackson: ?AIJNPT 14H TAJ +30 276
>Eric_Goldstein: ADIQ F2 QAID +37 212
>Jackson: ?EHINNP I2 HIN +19 295
#note weird position, with K5 PEH being the top static play. Now there are few enough lanes on the board where a more defensive approach makes sense - there is the K/L column (I lump those two together since hitting one blocks the other), the 1/3 row, and the C column. I didnt want to block the K/L column becuase a bingo on the 1/3 row will open new lanes, keeping 2 threats alive for Eric. I played HIN because a bingo on the K/L column or the C column will leave only one lane open, meaning I can block the other lane and coast. He can keep reopening more lanes right now, in which case I can keep trying to pad my lead. The question to me was HEN or HIN - HEN does bingo a tiny bit more immediately, but I felt like the E gave me more flexibility in more disaster situations.
>Eric_Goldstein: ACGHILU D2 CHUG +25 237
#note I would play something that keeps 2 lanes open here, I don't love blocking the C column here. MILCHIG 3H looks like the play
>Jackson: ?ACENPW K4 CAW +21 316
#note now to coast... not going to be a breeze, but should be doable.
>Eric_Goldstein: ADIILRT L6 LID +12 249
#note this is a good play. something like (C)AIRD could also work, though it runs more of a risk of getting bingoed on immediately. LID is nice because it's hard for me to block without giving back more lanes.
>Jackson: ?EEENNP M7 NE +9 325
#note very weird position. I felt like it had to be M7 NE or C2 EN. NEEP M7 is also okay. C3 EN just outruns, the M column is not super easy to hit, and if he does, I can outrun those bingoes or bingo back myself. NE iscool because N column bingoes at N1 will give back the 1 row scoring spot, and N8 bingoes will all give back the O column and huge plays (more interior bingoes might score less and still give back some O8 options). NE felt safe in that way. The problem is he might try to reopen the left side after this, but still EENP? just bingoes on the N column a ton. I liked NE because it takes out some disaster cases like DEVEINS at M7. M column bingoes would also give back the N column, and I don't want to be forced ot burn my blank to block that lane, in which case I could be at risk of being outscored.
>Eric_Goldstein: AIMRTVV 8L ..VA +24 273
