>Jackson: CENNNVW -NNVW +0 0
>Seth_Lipkin: DEIIMSS 8G MI +8 8
#note I think this is a good choice, and a situation where burning an S could be decent with MIDIS. ID and MIDI also seem reasonable. ID wins a sim.
>Jackson: CEGNOSZ H4 COGN.ZES +73 73
>Seth_Lipkin: DEINOSS 9F DO.E +21 29
#note Seth looked through all tiles but not the Z - DOZINESS plays for 76. however, the MI is actually the best floater here, with MISSIONED available for 89
>Jackson: ACEIKRT E8 TACKIER +91 164
#note considered TACKIER/DOZER for 3 fewer to muck up more lanes - however, the 11 row is still open and the board will surely not stay closed, with the 6 row harder to block. Given his range it could be better just to delay his eventual bingo, but I didn't mind running away here.
>Seth_Lipkin: INOOSST 14C TO.SIONS +62 91
>Jackson: AJOORUV 8A JURA. +39 203
>Seth_Lipkin: FPR D12 PR.F +36 127
>Jackson: AEEOOSV 11H .OAVE +16 219
#note again not the most comfortable play to make, swinging an E out, but with case S in hand the hook here is good for me, and EOS is just a lot better than ASV after COOEE, and my lead is not so much on this board that I can start making these sacrifices. SOAVE wins a sim by 6 points
>Seth_Lipkin: ?AEGLUU 13H GUAyULE +74 201
#note JUGULAtE is 98, but this is the still a good find
>Jackson: EHLNOQS N9 SHEQ.L +52 271
>Seth_Lipkin: ?AEIIRT O4 InERTIA +78 279
>Jackson: ABDLNOO N2 BLOOD +34 305
>Seth_Lipkin: BEE 15A BEE. +29 308
>Jackson: AAMNTVW 5G M.VANT +22 327
#note strongly considered WAV(E) here, which sims at the top along with MOVANT and VOW. I think I should probabably go for WAVE here optimally - this board is one where the next person who bingoes has a really good position, and the board is open enough where there will be lanes for the next couple turns. I was a bit worried about WAVE giving a home to certain bingo racks, -ED stuff etc. I played MOVANT just to try to eventually squeak out an endgame and make this game not come down to who bingoes - that said, with AW in hand, I am not favoured in theory. Tough position, and I think it could come down to who you're playing, but with WAVE being the more optimal choice.
>Seth_Lipkin: FOT 15F OFT +37 345
>Jackson: ADEPRWX J4 W.X +29 356
#note now I wanted to tend towards the more bingo heavy option, so not DEWAX. I felt like given the not great pool, it was better to not reach too far into it, and keep the E as further protection down the line.
>Seth_Lipkin: AEHIINY 7J YIN +23 368
#note he laid down HYAENI(C) at first, then took it back cause of IM*. Given he played YIN and not YAH, figured his last tile has to be an I or N.
>Jackson: AADEIPR 10E .AP. +22 378
#note this seems like the call with both AEHN and AEHI.
>Seth_Lipkin: AHN 7B NAH +17 385
>Jackson: ADEGIIR H2 RE........ +22 400
#note I think it's either IDEATING, GENII, GIG, or RECOGNIZES here. All very different plays with different paths to victory. IDEATING empties the bag and hopes to outscore, probably by drawing the Y or something. Still the options are often not very good for me. GENII leaves 1 in the bag and puts me in a good position, as long as Seth can't do an out in two with one in the bag. Thats the worry with GENII, often a play on the C column could do that for him. GIG and RECOGNIZES have the best timing, 2 in the bag make it harder for him to do an out in two. RECOGNIZES looks like the best way to outscore, but does give up more bingoes, possibly up to a third of the time depending on his range after NAH - he clearly doesn't have the UWY tiles, and something like EINT is reasonable and makes the floating R quite dangerous. that said, recognizes saves the ING for the L column and the GA for the 6 row, so outscoring is often possible (still not guaranteed if I hit UW or something). In the end it's tough to say what is best, my gut is either RECOGNIZES or GENII here.
>Seth_Lipkin: DEINRTY C3 DENT..Y +30 415
#note Seth saw DENTARY and put it down, seeing that it was a solid play that did exactly what he wanted (being low on time as well). With a few more minutes he might have come up with TRINARY, which seems to be a version of this play that wins more often, DE leading to lots more outs than IR, given this pool.
>Jackson: ADEGIIW L2 WAI.I.G +26 426
#note EDITING/DIETING are 3 better
>Seth_Lipkin: ILRU 13B LU.. +14 429
>Jackson: DE D3 ED +15 441
>Jackson: (IR) +4 445
