#note would be nice to do something like 8H TAXOL or 8H ADZ for potential Z bombs, but ZAX is way more solid

#note OVUM sims best by a point over VAU, but VAU might be worth it for potential top left closure - I didn't consider VAU seriously enough here, I have a decent shot at building a wall to the top left and VAU threatens that more, I think it's worth it. I was okay playing offense here and just outrunning on this board, AINS is very likely to lead to an essentially game-ending bingo at this point.
>Jeff_Cook: DOQU B7 QUOD +25 76
>Jackson: AIINNPS C2 PANINIS +84 212
#note wow, huge miss of the A9 spot, I remember rushing this turn and not even noticing this lane. That looks better than even the 4 point score difference, because it keeps things way tighter on the top left. Huge error, easy 8-9 point range.
>Jeff_Cook: JOY B1 JOY +39 115
>Jackson: ACEEEFG D1 CAGE +36 248
#note running with this outrunning mentality that might have led to the PANINIS miss. I considered FUSEE here, which blocks the A column, but I didn't like letting him hit D1 plays, and felt like ACEG was a bad leave if CAGE gets blocked next turn. FUSEE is at least more likely to stay open next turn. The thing is that the E that FUSEE swings out is already duplicated with DOBIE, so it doens't really open anything new short term. I think CAGE is okay just at this score and with a relatively open board, but it looks close.

#note far more As left than Is, and the scoring spot this makes doesn't bother me.

#note didnt love ANOA with the Es and Rs in the pool, holding AI was basically ideal here. That said, something that keeps better bingo prospects is really reasonable here, because this is a position where the next person to bingo has a pretty big advantage (there are boards where this is more true on, with more of a one threat takes all situation, but the person who bingoes next will basically give the next person one shot to hit and that's it). For this reason something more aggressive like ROAM 5J is not bad. AEINR bingoes over half the time, and it works well with the A column and F column, even the 14 row with BAE now. A middling play like AERO L4 or ROAMER 5J can also be good - ROAMER is cool because the R is less dangerous to swing out than usual given the 3 Rs in the pool, it works well with my rack, and basically puts extra pressure on. Just with AERO, the N on the rack really helps my bingo %. As much as I was happy with ATONER when I saw it, keeping AI into a pool with only one of each, keeping the A for the A column, it still might be better to go more for bingoes here. Looks close but I think I prefer AERO or ROAM here.
>Jeff_Cook: BEG L1 G.BE +37 378
>Jackson: AAEIIRT L8 AI +8 371
#note suddenly the pool is really rough for bingoes, I have the case A for A9 (except for the U), and AEIRT works super well with the pool and the A and F columns open. I played AI here to block the 8L scoring spot, in case I can keep outrunning options open and not be forced to bingo (drawing another vowel could enact that plan). Q prefers AI N9, putting more bingo pressure on, which in a sim at least helps my bingo % far more than it increases his options.
